Brent Cook

I was at Cambridge House Toronto last week, and Brent Cook says SWD will never be a mine.

From a very well followed blogger on what Brent Cook had to say about SWD last week... can you add to the below as to why it will never be a mine as per Brent?SWD - no good. Basically, his opinion was... um, I dunno. Can't explain it. In one ear out the other. I'm not an economic geologist, but I know when one's speaking, and he was. And he doesn't think SWD works and he seemed to ...more

He does not know what he is talking about!. Nonsense. SWD is a great take over target with the resources it has in place at this time. SWD has deep pockets to continue delineating the resorces of this property. No need to rush. Just keep on drilling. Colombia is biz friendly. Newmont and any of the larger au producers need to replace oz.

I agree with you toroshto, I continue to like what I see and hear out of this company... the margin metrics on this look good. I do pay some attention to Brent Cook (mainly his strategies) but his take on SWD doesn't jive.  This is a take target and biggies will continue to watch results closely, period. GLTA

He also had doubts about the metallurgy from what I could tell. I don't remember that much. All I know is, when Cook talks metallurgy and process, you listen cos he's actually worked in that field. Also, I look at the ...more

Also, I remember Mickey Fulp said he considers Colombia an avoid til their new mining law gets trotted out. I'm starting to have doubts about Colombia myself. If it's such a great country, why is the market not treating it that way anymore? Colombia was a bit of a fad for the past year, but now it's losing attractiveness as an investment location.

I would say Brent is not alone.  B2Gold looked into La Mina few years ago and also thinks this is not going to be a mine. Let´s just hope they are all wrong and one of these days SWD gives us a pleasant surprise. Fo far  I for one loosing my faith on this play.
