Market anticipation
I look at this announcement as adding ALOT of VALUE to the company. While value does not always reflect share price, the market is like a sophisticated casino, in the short term companies like SLAM ,are dictated by day traders and resort to the so called "traditions " of trading. pretty predictable , that at the beginning of Dec the so called tax loss selling starts it annual trek. Many follow the tradition of selling shares at a loss to balance out gains for the tax year. The intention is to sell off becuase nothing is going to happen till next year and then start the buying frenzy. The odd time a company will throw a green weiner into the mix and actually report something that goes against the tradition of tax selling. I have seen it happen on occassion and the traders justify it .. we hear them saying " its the santa claus rally" .
Right now I cant argue with some saying the stock should be at .50 .. actually its probably valued way more with this announcement . The immediate stock price will not make this sudden jump till a number of things are anticipated.
1- SLAM is mining the ore and smelting to gold
2- Another company ( reputable ) is coming into JV the mining of the gold
3- * most anticipated ** a large company is impressed enough that they are buying the rights to SLAM and its claims...
Right now I could see the 1st scenerio happening .. but we will never know about the next two till they happen. The last two scenerios will have a NDA right off the bat and it will get dreadfully quiet. So I wouldn't be to criticle on those that have expressed an opinion on a higher stock price .. indirectly they are right ... so bravo to the LONGS.
