Lackluster response

Any thoughts on the market's lackluster response to this past NR? According to MS, it is great news to have oil bursting to come out facilitated by gas pressure and the shortened horizontal length not an issue and indicates high pressures and a responsible decision by the company to not risk a blow out. Yet, market has said "meh" so far. Would seem to me to be a good risk/reward at this price. Downside 47c. What is the upside? Any thoughts?

The response has been "meh" but the volume has increased significantly, so alot more steady movement. It's a HODL until $1 for me.

Yes, I like the volume bump and the cheap stock should be spounged up soon, then we are off to the races. That said, to me, a buck is only the start and I am sure neither Abby nor Toby got into this thing for a buck a share. It is interesting/concerning/exciting that they were only able to go horizontal for a 1000 feet rather than meters. I lean more toward the exciting end of the spectrum .. I ...more

Thanks for that. Any predictions on timeline? I vaguely recall 3 weeks from last report mentioned although I could be dreaming. Would that put us less that 2 weeks away? Just wondering if they will report initial rates or if we might have to wait for 30 day flows or something like that. Given SP stability, nothing is leaking out.

Good question on the timelines.  TAG's March 18th news release said they expect to start stimulating the well by the middle of April.  At that time they also mentioned they were optimizing their mult-stage frac design.  I don't know if anything more recent has been said publically.  News releases tend to highly-vetted and therefore conservative by nature.  Would be ...more

Thanks for the info... Interesting times ahead. Always risky at this early stage but the risk reward seems great at this price. Since the last encouraging news release had no real increase in price, so I've over trippled my position. Good luck...

Thanks for that info. So mid-april just to start fracking. I would imagine it will take some time to generate flow rates and I guess it will depend on what time frame they want to flow the well over. I agree it would be good if the CEO could give us some idea but my guess is that they won't make that determination until they start flowing it. It seems we have at least a couple weeks or more ...more

Have you seen the ten year chart on TAO?? Now that is a very Lackluster 10 year chart! Manage has failed to diliver any significant value to shareholders in ten years! The O/G sector has had its challenges in recent years-but ten years no performance? May be this new well will bring some momentum?? Or will it hit anouther wall? That is a BIG question mark. TREAD carefully!

Of course caution should be used in any speculation... Only invest money you can lose.  But to judge a corporate entity like this on past projects with different management I think is probably not the best way... Each endeavor is very independent of the last one... Unless it's a pump dump for mgmt with a lifestyle shell.  I remember losing money on Tao when it was in new Zealand... ...more
