Alright y'all.. Research Ethics Board met today to very likely approve Therma's clinical trial in Canada. Therma did submit the application right on the deadline so it's very likely that it got reviewed today. Look out for big news next week. hold on tight.. its going to be a hell of a ride

Pretty sure they already announced that they have approval from the ethics board, and with that they have applied to Health Canada for approval for the test to begin as designed. That's what we're waiting for as far as Canada is concerned.

Have a question Boudi (or anybody). Dont they already have approval from ethics for Toronto study? See PR of 03-25. Says they got approval from IRB. (But nowhere in the PR do they explain what IRB is.) They go on to say the next step after IRB approval is to submit to HC for approval. But what is IRB? I assumed its ethics board as they say they submitted ...more

There is possibly some confusion there for sure, good eye! The IRB is the American equivalent of the REB in Canada ....it stands for Institutional Review Board. So it appears that whoever is writing the NRs got careless because it was certainly expected that THRM was applying for HC and FDA approval. I would not anticipate that IRB approval would be accepted by HC as well as the FDA ....but ...more

Isn't that reassuring that posters have to try to figure out what the hell the press releases mean.. maybe management should be clearer with the news.. wonder why I have no faith in management..??
