Trying to Understand....
.....the issues with Health Canada. The most recent approved point of care rapid antigen test was on June 21, 2021. It has a Sensitivity of 86.7% (sample self collected) and 88.9% (sample professionally collected). If they have heard ANYTHING about AcuVid they should be knocking on the door of THRM.
The Panbio rapid antigen test from Abbott Labs (the Test being used for the pilot test in schools in Saskatchewan) has a Sensitivity of 91.1% ....and its a nasal swab. While it's great to see these tests, previously purchased by the Federal Government, finally being used, one can't help but imagine the potential landscape for AcuVid should FDA EUA authorization come anytime soon.
There are 11 rapid antigen point of care tests currently under review by HC. One is a saliva test from Turkey. One can understand why Rob Fia has taken the direction he has with so many roadblocks to application and authorization in Canada. Having said that will FDA EUA authorization finally allow THRM to bypass the testing of AcuVid in Canada and go directly to application???

SM6, Don't forget Therma is NOT from Quebec. If it was we would have had a real fast approval to do a clinical trial and submit for approval. We would be all set in Canada, if Therma was a subsidualry of SNC Lavalin. JMHO

You have to remember that In the eyes of the United States and most other countries around the world Canada is insignificant, just look at the clown that's running the show here. JMO
