STRONG DEMAND FOR NEW TANKER BUILDS !!!

That is the key phrase in the MD&A. If we assume a 50% increase in revenue next quarter, leave the profit margin at 58% and take out the one time 253K executive termination fee I get the following, revenue 1.63M, gross profit 945K, expenses 650K, operating profit 295K interest income 142K, profit 437K or $0.015/share. Revenues and profits should grow each quarter from there. The only fly in the ointment I see is the supply chain issues.

Nice to see that volume is returning as new investors begin to recognize the value of this company

It looks like TLA is in the same position as 2013, on the verge of a super tanker build cycle. In 2014 and 2015 TLA produced quarter after quarter of $4 - $5 million in revenues and profits of $0.02 - $0.04. That is were a large part of the current cash hoard was generated. The only two issues holding back a repeat are supply chain hitting revenues and management taking the company private at ...more

Management will not take the company private. For starters I think they are basically honourable, decent people who are trying to do their best for all shareholders. On the off-chance that they did aspire to take the company private . . . well . . . for starters they'd have to get a professional valuation. Mindblowing expensive. Then potential shareholder pushback. Ain't gonna happen ...more

As a Redline Communications shareholder I wish all takeouts required a professional valuation but not so. The board gets an offer, they get major shareholders on board, vote and done. Zucker Trust controls the company with over 30% of the shares. If private equity comes along with an offer they like and a few other larger shareholders, we're sold .

Always requires a valuation if it's bought by INSIDERS. If it's bought by an outside party then it's only necessary to show that the sale process was handled properly--so that bidding was fair and competitive. But hey, this is usually what selling shareholders want--get bought out at a big premium. If you got bought out by an outside party at what seemed like a low price then there ...more

I don't mind takeover but I do mind it at $0.75 ....

I wouldn't count your chickens just yet. Though no doubt the cycle is right now turning in the right direction, it is also more widely understood than in 2013-15 that anything oil & related is going to be ultimately in long-term decline. Doesn't mean there can't be a few good years but, at the same time, I doubt anyone will ever do a buyout of TLA because they'll know that in ...more
