First trading week of the new year

Those that are looking to take advantage of their TFSA will be filling it with shares and warrants which will drive both prices higher. Our current slight rise is reflected because of those wishing to pick up shares before the TFSA buying begins. Also taking into consideration we don’t know when the next confirmation of successful data on CR will be released or when other strong advancement in progress in other indications and the Theralase's vaccine. Most longs have filled their accounts as of late and will add more even at slightly higher TFSA prices. We will see minor pull backs but with expected solid data on all future CR percentages share prices will continue higher, all in my biased opinion. Enjoy current prices while its under a dollar.

The start of this coming (TFSA) season will in all likelyhood be the last chance to fill up at these very low prices. By that I mean mid thirties to low forties.

At the risk of being called a basher , I was sort of hoping that the price would stay down on the first day or so in January 2022 , because I will be transferring shares from my margin account into my TFSA  LOL.  Mind you, I will not be too disappointed if it rises either. Is this what you would call a "paradox"?

I share the same wish. However, wise from past experiences, I would not be surpised if the roller coaster can bring TLT both up and down a lot in the days a head :-)

Last year when I transferred,I was able to use my cost   Or I could have used the market price.

Hey 012009 - If you were able to use you cost of the stock or market they must have been identical. "While you can transfer stock into your TFSA with out selling them first, you could trigger a tax event. If the stock has gone up in value you will have to pay tax on that gain. Only future gains will be sheltered and able to compound tax free. Hoowever, if you have any capital losses saved up

Many have already bought the shares they plan on transferring into their TFSA in the new year. That said I really don't expect a huge move due to TFSA buying, the moves will come with more stellar results...... All the Best  Mikee
