Herpes

This could be avialable at Shoppers drug mart soon
the Theralase® lab in Toronto will focus on using RuvidarTM to research and develop a topical therapeutic to mitigate the impact of herpes virus lesions. I look forward to supporting the implementation of this technology at the commercial level."

Sounds promising, but aren't there a lot of already existing products on the market for this? Maybe there's a distinction I'm not aware of. Anyone here know a pharmacist they can ask? Anti viral topical herpes medicines, an already existing saturated market?

The existing products on the market can always be improved upon.  I oughta know as I have been through so many....oops, thought you mean't hairpiece.

It's usually avialable next to Preparation H or Blistex

There are currently no products otc or  which kill the virus. They just slow it. That is for herpes simplex or genital. I would be shocked if glaxo was not all over this. Let them develop it for cash up front and a royalty

I think the big benefit derived from our preclinical antiviral tech can be found in any potential for vaccine development.  A topical may improve symptoms & shorten their duration a bit, however, it doesn't prevent or immediately heal lesions.   As far as I'm aware, there are currently no licensed prophylactic or therapeutic vaccines available on the market today against the ...more

Nobody mentioned tick bites like lime disease and dozen more other viral infections that can cause. There is a good market for that.cmon boys get busy

Yes I want 10% royalty on any tick bites related infection treated by Tlt.

Good Idea.. But a vaccine might take a long time and be costly to develop. Having an easy trestment like an injection or an ointmrnt might be enough to earn them big bucks.. i think the drug would need to be activated by sun exposure. I personally have used 5ALA with Dmso on sun damaged skin..then it took about half hour of sun exposure to activate it and rejuvenate the skin.

Herpes is not curable, but it is treatable. Antiviral drugs, like Valtrex (valacyclovir) and Zovirax (acyclovir), not only heal herpes sores faster than other options, but they work to prevent recurrences.
