July 2 (Reuters) - The U.S. government has awarded $176 million to Moderna (MRNA.O), opens new tab to advance development of its bird flu vaccine, the company said on Tuesday, as concerns rise over a multi-state outbreak of H5N1 virus in dairy cows and infections of three dairy workers since March.

Funds from the U.S. Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority will be used to complete late-stage development and testing of a pre-pandemic mRNA-based vaccine against H5N1 avian influenza.

Perhaps BTD in itself won't bring a giant re-rating, but it should open the door for partnerships that will? At least it sounds like we are close to applying for it. To get a GBM trial going, that will bring a re-rating if results are good imho. But we need the money for it first of course.

Pfizer and other big pharmaceutical companies are in bed with the FDA. Big pharma waits until small companies run out of money because of FDA slow walking the process. Then they swoop up and take the product. I've seen it happen before. One of my promising small pharma stocks went BK and within the week, FDA approved the product and it was sold to a big pharmaceutical company while investors
