I think sending out a message or text to shareholders pre-news is almost illegal ! I'm amazed that the stock price reacted so positively.. IF the news was released just days after the shareholders received it , there definitely would have been a conflict of interest!!!! That's exactly y I didn't buy into it. Mind you I did miss out on tiny rally. Anyways , good luck to you all.

I may be in the minority but I believe the e-mail sent to a select group of people that contained details of an upcoming PP did contain information that should have been made public to everyone at the same time. My opinion only.

Private placements are called private placements for a reason.  Hence, there is no requirement to make a public announcement revealing the company's intention to have one.

They're called "private" placements because shares are sold to "private" individuals, not offered to the general "public." They're not called "private" becaue they're "secret" as you seem to be implying.
