I Dont Understand.....

I don't know for sure but someone said that someone from management at Theralase 'recomended' selling the stock and then using the funds to participate in a PP. If this is true I find it very offensive to long term shareholders. If there wasn't alot of selling before every PP, maybe the share price would not keep being depressed and would be well above the $.35 warrant excercise price. The excercise of warrants could have provided funds to keep the lights on. I admit I am no expert in these matters, but I somehow think we would be better off if management wasn't recommending selling TLT.

That seems about right.  Let us say the PP is close to the SP at $0.30 and you are able to sell your share at approx $ 0.26 and get the same amount of share via a PP at $0.30+ a warrant exerciable at $0.35,  your real cost for the warrant is $0.04.  You are able to get a warrant at 4 cents that you can exercise anytime during the next 5 years to convert the warrant to a share at $0

I'm skeptical of this. I've emailed the IR guy and noted that his answers were worded quite carefully. I have heard people on this forum talking about selling to shares to buy into PP and wonder if it was mis-attributed to IR guy.

I know I have said no such thing but I will say two things, 1. I talked to MP maybe 3 or 4 PPs ago on a day when the stock went from about 23 cents down to 17 cents, he said they were doing a PP but knew nothing about people selling to take part and in fact they don't really watch the day to day movement of the stock, they were only concerned with finishing Phase II. I believe him 100%. And 2.

I have no doubt that it happens. That being said there is absolutely no way that MP has told people to do that . It would be highly unethical, Not a chance

I would agree with that. I'd like to see PPs become a thing of the past relatively soon and 2025 might just be the time. Joint Venture? Licence agreement? Buy out of some sort? It's been a very long time and TLT might just be getting ready to hit the dance floor. Maybe this slow waltz of 10 plus years is about to become a mosh pit! GLTA.. It's coming..

Fecats, I looked back and found the post I was referring to. It was an Infinity post on 12-22 at 1:07 am.  "I have spoken to MP a couple of times in the past. His pitch is the same. Sell what you are holding and replace through PP and you get warrants as a bonus." Obviously I can not say if these conversations really happened, I can only relay what was already posted on this board

Useless debate....whether MP stated or implied to sell your shares in order to participate in a financing means buffalo chips! Simple fact is this leadership needs to come up with another means of financing. The current bimonthly raises are clearly not what the market or shareholders wants to see.

I respectfully disagree. I do not want to see some Pharm moneybags craft a large beachhead before the nearly sure to be granted approvals,are. Roger gets my support for having the guts to absorb the criticism and to protect the pioneer stakeholders. We'll be much better off when the entire realm of pharma wants to own this marvelous asset. Love him or not, he  has safquarded your stake

There is something churlish - almost adolescent - in attacking those who you are hoping will make you rich because of the beginner missteps they have made in their efforts to advance an effective cancer treatment.  Will the critics feel the same if they end up with millions of dollars in the bank?
