TM Starts Full-Scale Copper Production at Kombat Mine

Trigon Metals Inc. (TM.v PNTZF) closed 5% up today after announcing that it has begun full-scale concentrate production at its Kombat Copper Mine in Namibia.

Despite initially using lower-grade material, TM managed to produce a concentrate grade of 33.5% copper with recoveries of 79.5%, surpassing the anticipated grade of 20%.

This outcome enhances profitability, as higher-grade concentrate reduces shipment and treatment costs per unit of copper.

The company aims to reach 70% production capacity by the end of September.
