BREA, CA – June 28, 2022 – Curtiss-Wright’s Nuclear Division today announced that it has signed an exclusive teaming agreement with Thermal Energy International, Inc. (TEI) to bring GEM™ steam traps to the North American nuclear power market and Department of Energy.

“Through our collaboration with TEI, we will bring the industry an innovative valve solution that delivers a significant increase in efficiency over legacy designs.”
Per the agreement,
Curtiss-Wright will market and deliver TEI’s GEM steam traps, parts, and services to customers seeking a replacement for legacy steam traps that have become obsolete or difficult to maintain.
Unlike legacy products, the patented GEM steam trap technology features a unique design with no moving parts – reducing maintenance and improving reliability.
