Re: Reaching out

I agree Possible01, (I’m leaving out the idiot part of your monicker because idiot you are not! It’s there as a statement of humility.

Oh yes, there have been some miscommunication errors in the last two TMG presentations which obscured the rosy conditions that TMG finds itself in. I quote you: “What they need to do is pick the most positive interpretation and control the narrative.”  AND THEY DIDN’T. They could have done better.

And the analyst that didn’t show up: Surely, as in the music business, there has to be a “sub” that takes the place of the person that can’t make it. That’s as basic as bricklaying, I believe. But it was sloppy for sure.

To quote you again: “People tend to remember the first thing they read and in the release investors were presented with 9% growth first and focused on that.” Yeah, that’s what happened. They saw that 9% and ran for the exits in panic.

“There was a failure to control the narrative and investors have suffered. The best news here is this should be a teachable moment in capital market skills.”

Company website constitutes an "IR department"? iIf that sounds weird to me than I am truly an idiot.  I have seen more org charts of all company sizes than I cared to see and have never seen something that represents an IR department where the employee/position box is filled with Mr. Or Ms. "Corporate Website".   In the end, it does not take a degree in ...more
