31 live PDA's - kaboom

another very important fact .....imo......last July TMG posted in a news release they had a record amount of 25 PDA's and Bill said in yesterdays Virtual Investor Summit they now have 31 live PDA's.......so with the fact that it takes about up to a year for a PDA to turn into a contract,  my math calculation says that we should start seeing an avalanche of contracts coming this late summer/fall .....as I said in one of my last posts, this could be a SEPTEMBER to REMEMBER

V.TMG
The Company received 25 signed project development agreements ("PDA") in fiscal 2023 (including seven in the fourth quarter) compared to ten signed PDAs in the prior fiscal year

The last time that Bill reported the number of PDA's, he said that there were 35. I'm not sure if this included the turn-key project that was announced in May. Add on to this the new PDA that was reported in the last release, and there should be 35 or 36. If the PDA's are now at 31, that means that 4 or 5 PDA's were completed, but the associated companies elected not to go ahead ...more

SOME - of the PDAs are Gem Trap related and/or a Mix of BEI/Sofame stuff the is  complicated but valued under 1 Million. So theses PDAs are not heard from, but shown in backlog, then sales/revenue figures. We will see the PDA/project effect, in the looming quartery report. Thanks for the FYI.!

prone Feel free to correct me but my impression was that the GEM business was mostly COTS ( completely off the shelf) and instantly shippable more or less. A couple of other bits of imformation from the Virtuel Investor Conference. PDAs , up from 28 to 31. Not shrinking but also not over extending the workforce. $1.1 million invested in the first 9 months , for 9  new people , app ...more

YES.  Many Gem requests are OFF-the-SHELF... IF a bulk buy comes in, the client may suggest a discount - at which time TEI may review the site and propose a price based on installation difficulty. I expect a customer may  'say what can you do to improve energy efficiency at this site'.  A PDA is required to clarify the options, such as bundling smaller products into a ...more

"I expect a customer may  'say what can you do to improve energy efficiency at this site'.  A PDA is required to clarify the options, such as bundling smaller products into a custom job and re-piping between heat source and heat sink.  Various sites have different configurations." I can see a  situation where buying steam traps could lead to a PDA (wish ...more

A refinery can have between 10,000 and 30,000 traps.  GEM trap can cost 3 digits or 4 digits.  Determine the right size, unbolt old trap, bolt on new trap. Lots of steam systems out there in the industrial world using untold traps.  Meanwhile, heat recovery systems need heat sinks that can use the recovered heat...something that is not always present.

They just have to break into a refinery.  They had some oil and gas conferences and meets and greets in the sourhern US.  Also had some business in Kuwait, but nobody knows why that did not pan out bigger.

I recall the 35 number as well.  But we don't have a full appreciation what his criteria for reporting includes.  Are they completed PDAs waiting for decision?  Are they signed PDAs where the team is working on it before it is proposed to the client?  This matters in terms of understanding when decisions could be made, and a PDA in progress may not show a great project for ...more
