Although it's counterintuitive, energy efficiency is actually bad for the environment. It's called Jevons paradox.

Not sure I understand it at face value, but it is never about "energy efficiency for environment" but rather "energy efficiency for the wallet".

Remember the old adage, Money talks....BS walks.....Money is what motivates most of the polluters to take action.....It`s deplorable but it is what it is....JMHO!

Hadn't heard of Jevon and his paradox but it explains a lot , like if you switch to compact fluorescents , you might keep your lights on all the time or if your car's more efficient , you might drive to see your friends who moved away , more frequently.
