Gaming on a Smart TV is easier than some suggest
Someone posted a concern that gaming on a smart TV will be awkward because a TV remote control is a poor device to game with. That may be true but you don't have to use a TV remote. There are several options. First, smart phones can be used as smart remotes for smart TVs. Second, you can connect a USB mouse or keyboard directly to a smart TV or connect wirelessly via a USB dongle. Third, there are now wireless game controllers that will work with smart TVs. For example, the SteelSeries wireless game controller (https://www.cinemablend.com/games/SteelSeries-Announces-Startus-Wireless-Gaming-Controller-61436.html). I suspect game developers are already designing their products to be compatible with any of these hardware choices.

TNG offers World Poker Tour and I think it is free. Yes many people play poker for free on the internet but they had to buy a computer or tablet to do it. I can see the day where there will only be a smart TV in the home which will be used for TV and internet, so I disagree with your economic argument.

Just looked through a user manual for a Samsung smart TV and saw that it can also be controlled by voice recognition and hand gestures. I think the end of game consoles is coming. In the future they will all reside inside smart TVs.
