Comments from Gupta's last Earnings Call:

While we can’t disclose the name of this particular customer, they are a Fortune-500 Cloud-based software company and we believe that there will be many other technology licensing opportunities with them in the near future.

We continue to forge new opportunities for both our core translation technology as well as we share into the enterprise space. And we expect many more lucrative licensing arrangements in the current fiscal year.

Now the biggest issue, or not issue but the biggest opportunity with SwiftShader really comes in the form of as a software application, it provides much more flexibility which means that there is better leverage. It consumes less power, it doesn’t dissipate heat and it doesn’t take up physical space.

So, we have actually turned our attention to looking at hardware companies and starting to work with various executives in some of the biggest consumer electronics companies in the world to start positioning SwiftShader as a potential replacement for GPU.

We feel very strongly and very confidently in SwiftShader’s capability. And obviously we’ve got patent associated with it. As well it gives us a strategic advantage and we are right now in talks with a whole variety of companies, both in the hardware space as well as continually talking to software companies to ensure that we’re leveraging SwiftShader to the maximum potential possible.

The first was when ...more

Interesting recap. My sense tells me something is coming this week. What a great time to put out news during the GDC conference. Maybe there was no need for them to be an exhibitor?

I believe they have already done their networking...no need to exhibit. They are at the boardroom stage.

Agreed Mr P....and Gupta falls inline with my own post on the landscape/priority revenue driver for TNG going forward being SS LOL. I like the way Gupta moves stratetically and tactically manages the front end side of the business case. And it is ubuitously apparent and uber obvious Gupta is ultra focused...and has TNG positioned advantegously and optimally to capitalize on the revolutionary ...more
