Microsoft
Come on Microsoft. Just license Swiftrader.
How do you get the rendered frames down the pipe to the gamer quickly? Microsoft Research may have a solution in a project called DeLorean. In a nutshell, it renders frames before an event occurs in the game based on a number of variables, the correct set of frames are sent down to your device. A recently published white paper from Microsoft lays out the concept and solution. Microsoft notes that people could enjoy high-end graphics without needing a high-end GPU through cloud gaming.

You make good points about the technical abilities of swiftshader, but you are missing something very important from a business standpoint. Swiftshader is FREE. People around the world can download it onto their PCs and no money goes to Transgaming. Note even in the post by pennystock it says free download. So the biggest issue with Swiftshader is how does Transgaming make any money from it.

thanks vulturecapital--the answer is quite simple--through a buyout/acquisition of the rights. the final or fully developed product can cost money depending on who purchases it but that is why i suppose it has been licensed out the way it has--to keep showing its abilities and to expand on them. glta

yyz123, Great post. I would imagine that Mr. Gupta is reading this. How does he respond? As a shareholder, I'd love to know if Transgaming is able to stay in business? The company's transparency with shareholders has been an issue from the 'get-go'. Mr. Gupta, Do you raise these issues with the MBA students at Ryerson, or is it all a big joker?
