Publishing revenue
During the q3 conference call, which is now off their website and replaced by the q4 conference call, they reviewed possible revenues from game publishing. If I recall correctly, they said a game could sell 100,000 units, with a price of $30 each. That would be $3 million in revenue per game. Then during the last conference call, they mentioned games will be AAA, and unit sales varying from five to six figures. So eventually each game could generate $2-3 million in revenue. They implied 8-10 games in 2016, not this year. By 2016 they should be able to publish to valves new gaming console. So an additional $20-$30 million in annual revenue might be posible.

All of the items that you mentioned are expenses that would be subtracted from revenue to derive gross profit. So they would reduce gross profit, but not revenue.

Publishing games? Talk to Trip Hawkins about that one. He was incredibly successful with Electronic Arts, but lost a fortune with his 3DO and Digital Chocolate initiatives. Wasn't there a Transgaming Studios or someting to that effect? They had games like Ants at a Picnic and Garage???
