TRO: Nobody could be better stewards of the region & land!

Re schocor July 11 post on "community outreach", I will inform & correct, as per my view:

1) Taranis has
worked on their THOR Project land that includes 27 Crown Grants (from the 1898 - 1920’s) & Mineral Tenures added through staking and purchase from other companies and individuals - for SIXTEEN years! "Taranis holds 100% interest in the Thor Ag-Au-Pb-Zn-Cu mineral deposit located near Trout Lake, British Columbia. It acquired the property in 2006 from the T. Eaton Estate, and has since undertaken an aggressive exploration program aimed at defining a turn-key deposit at Thor. Taranis has drilled approximately 250 holes to outline a near-surface, open pittable mineral deposit, and has also completed metallurgical, environmental and financial analyses of the deposit."

2) History of Mining in Revelstoke area: Five small historic precious and base metals mines have been amalgamated into Thor; Broadview, Great Northern, True Fissure, Blue Bell, and St. Elmo. These mines operated between 1898 and 1973, and were handicapped by the terrain, logistical problems, and archaic metallurgy. It was long theorized among the original explorers of the deposit that all of the mines were situated on a single structural trend.

The Thor deposit occurs within the historic Silver Cup Mining District which includes a number of other mines including the Silver Cup, the Nettie L., and other mines that were processed extensively in the early 1900's. Thor remains the only Resource that has not seen mining, and the Resource remains intact in the ground making it a very attractive near-term project. At one time 100+ years ago, there were a 1000 residents in BOTH Trout Lake AND Ferguson, 5km away.

The Silver Cup Mining District is located east of Upper Arrow Lake, in an area of very rugged terrain. The District is a cluster of deposits and mineral occurrences that is approximately 40 miles in length, and starts southeast of Revelstoke on the Trans-Canada Highway and extends to the southeast end of Trout Lake. The District consists of three mineral belts. The largest, and most important is the Central Mineral Belt, and this includes a number of old prospects and mines, the largest being the Meridian/Eva, True Fissure (Thor), Silver Cup and Triune mines.  Both the Silver Cup and Triune saw significant production history, and the old workings that constitute the Thor project (Blue Bell, True Fissure, St. Elmo, Broadview and Great Northern) saw extensive Underground exploration, but only minimal mining.

3) Community Consultation: for the 10,000t Bulk Sample test there was public meetings and offers to contribute as per EMLI requirements. Community has been positive. On website: "Throughout the development, construction, and operation of the 10,000 tonne bulk sample program at Thor, we think it is critical that the residents of Ferguson, Trout Lake, Beaton, and the surrounding areas can have their say in the Thor Phase 2 mining program. We aim to be transparent and open to comment, support, or criticism about this project."

4) Economic Contribution: Taranis personel have lived and worked at Trout Lake for SIXTEEN years! Community has been positive. Staff payments and purchasing of goods & services to Trout Lake, Nakusp, Revelstoke, Kamloops and beyond in BC since 2006 has helped the communities immensely. Contracting companies locally are hired annually. Community has been positive

5) Taranis Studies: Taranis in all permit applications has spent large budgets on environmental studies that have been completed in the remote area. Bringing in specialists, engineers and advisors has shown Taranis as very responsible.
6) Taranis CLEAN UPTaranis has reburbished the old mill site at Thor by digging up and removing 50 tonnes of buried and abandoned scrap metal, old Letourneau scraper, and junk that I saw Oct 4/2020 (NR Oct 19/2020) when I visited the project. There's even a video on the website:

RECYCLING / LEGACY MINING RECLAMATION Taranis' commitment to environmental sustainability has started with the removal of large amounts of legacy debris from historical mining operations left behind at the Thor site. In 2020, Taranis removed a significant amount of scrap metal and building materials from the property. All of the metal was related to a prior milling operation that operated in the early 1970's at the True Fissure mill site. The metal was taken to Revelstoke where it was recycled.

7) Needed: Taranis has much needed STRATEGIC Metals - as per NR March 21/2021.

8)
Improved Mining MethodsNew technologies and mining methods will enable Taranis to fully develop the Thor deposit in a way once thought to be science fiction (Newton Emmens, "The Mining World" May 7, 1910). Early and extensive test work has confirmed the effectiveness of gravity processing as a viable method of pre-concentrating ore onsite without the use of chemicals, large amounts of water, and extensive infrastructure. This process will be used to collect physical and chemical characteristics of the Mineral Resource. Compared to historical applications of hydrometallurgy being used on-site, or removal of high-grade ore for off-site processing, this relatively simple and time-honored method will allow Taranis to obtain a bulk sample for grade and metallurgical testing. This data will be incorporated into a Pre-Feasibility study.

9) Save the Damaged & Abandoned Max Mill: In addition, I should point out "Eight km southwest of the Thor Project, the Trout Lake area hosts the well-known Max Endako-type molybdenum deposit." The Max Mill, as stated on MiningDataOnLine.com "3 km W from Trout Lake, Status: Inactive/ Suspended, Commercial production at the MAX operation commenced in 2008 at a nominal rate of 500 tpd. The mine production was suspended in September 2010 due to an underground pillar collapse, and was put into ‘care and maintenance’ in late 2011 due to continued low molybdenum prices." Past mine inspections and demands for compliance I read where ignored for years. Taranis over the years have made several attempts with the Max Mill owners to take over the old mill that have rapidly deteriorating buildings and tailings pond - that is a complete liability/risk for the Governement of BC - BC Mines. Taranis is the only useful project that could ever restore and utilize this property - but only if liabilities were resolved.

10) Nobody could be better stewards of the region and land than Taranis Resources - a BC company.

Respectfully, agree to disagree. This is a hard region to do new mining projects in. They got a little "agressive" - for good reason - but not for long term success.  Its okay. They just need a partner to wipe the slate clean.
