Treaty Creek=Detour Gold=Agnico Eagle

Agnico Eagle is now a larger market cap than Barrick Gold. They are the very best capital allocators in the industry. They have experience with the largest operating (reserves 20m<less than Treaty Creek) and the largest gold  production in Canada at Detour Lake. It would make since for them to take control of Treaty Creek at a reasonable price premium.

Look at the Detour mine (lower grade than Treaty Creek and less reserves) owned by AEM. It is what the industry should be looking at.

As far as I know Agnico eagle doesn't have block caving experience. Newmont does via virtue of the fact that they acquired newcrest.   Highper, Thank you for your valuable insight!  AI involvement in all things mining are going to bring cost down...I am pretty sure Mark Bristow et all (Agnico Eagle) can figure out a way to extract 30moz plus at a very accretive. If I am right I think it will be more like Rio Tinto, Newmont, Agnico and Barrick...that buy Treaty Creek first and Seabridge later for 100m ounces ...more
