Why Ausheds should be Ucore greatest fan!

Good morning to all,
We got about 9 to 10 inches of snow.  It is melting with the warmer weather and rain.  On my third cup of Folgers so I am wide awake.
Now over the years we have wondered why Ausheds was on this site.  It all boils down to worry.  If Ucore was just a company that was using regular SX then it about who could do it the cheapest.  But from the start Ucore has been about finding Tech that was better than SX.  First with MRT, then with RSX.  Both would be cheapest than Lynas' SX.  So Ausheds is on here to trash talking Ucore and has been for years.  Why? Worry.
At this time and place Ausheds should be using all his words to get Lynas to have Ucore do testing on Lynas and round top ore.  Here is why.  Lynas got millions from the USG to build a SX plant in TX.  Here is the problem they face.  Lets say that Lynas is half way through building a SX plant and have spend millions doing it.  Then Ucore RSX come on line and is producing REE at 10% of Lynas cost.  What happens to Lynas half finished SX plant?  They would be faced with finishing it and it not making enough money to pay for its self or leaving it half finished or start over building a RSX plant.  Lynas would be much better off having Ucore test the ores to see if RSX is the better way to go before they spend all of the governments money on a plant that they have to leave or rebuild.  Just to see if the RSX tech is 90% better than they're or not.  That would be the wise way to go.  Ucore has always said that they wish to make money selling the tech beside doing the separation themself.
So How about it, Ausheds should Lynas have Ucore test it ores before it starts building that plant in TX?  Just to be sure it would still make money.
Have a great day
Dragon

Solid deduction Pip but don't forget DOD had already put up funds for a quite extended evaluation program of RSX before it went on the shelf  for ~5 years. Safe to conclude DOD were not impressed. What you muppets have totally failed to understand is RSX is in the necessary process of being redeveloped, improved, reconfigured, in the HOPE it can be demonstrated as commercially viable ...more

Dear Pip,  One of my friends from work may have your answer on that point.  Why RSX when nowhere for 5 years.  RSX was developed from a DOD grant.  Do you see DOD paying for the development of new tech and seeing it sold oversea, maybe to the Chinese.  For your statements to be true you would have to know the EXPORT CONTROLS on the grant.  If the tech could not leave ...more

That was one is easy,  Trump, Sixty minutes on MP, Lynas downunder.  Remember first phase find source even if you have to pay well above market.  Second phase, find better tech.  Would CDP be in second phase? Dragon

Dragon you are so full of BS, making it up as you  go along, rSX was developed TOTALLY independently of DOD, who then funded an evaluation, and promptly put it back on the shelf. DOD has rejected Bokan, rSX and MRT, really doubt it takes anything that comes out of Ucore seriously  given that track record.

Do some decent DD before spinning BS here. DOD dumped Molycorp back around 2012 to sponsor a study of Bokan, which very quickly went nowhere, the 2013 PFS told the story. DOD funded a study rSX around 2014, and quickly put it back on the shelf. Ucore made it VERY clear DOD bluntly told them don't waste your time tendering with MRT. DOD has looked at, and quickly rejected everything Ucore ...more
