When they say they don't want mining, they mean in the US.  Your typical Democrat is so hypocritical when they say they are about saving the planet when truth is they simply don't want the mining in their back yard, some other country no problem.  To them, they would have children mine resources in Africa than have reasonably well paid citizens of their own country do it
