3D tours improvements (And what to improve)
In a year, we've seen a lot of improvement in their 3D tours. At first, the transition between different places was really bad. They managed to get it more smooth and way better. There was no dollhouse, they created one in a few months. There were some loading and server issues with the tours, they got more powerful servers and there are now a lot less loading issues. I know, there's still a lot to work on. But I find encouraging the pace at which they are improving stuff.
Here's some elements that i'd like them to improve:
-Better image definition
-Better image quality
-Better lighting uniformity (Right now, there's too much difference between each shoot in some tours) I think this is right now one of the thing they should improve next
-More interactive Dollhouse (that you can turn and zoom in and out when you open it as a map
-Higher quality dollhouse (get rid of the whiter rounds on the floors)
-More interactive floorplan (that you can zoom more to see it in full, especially in the bigger tours)
-Better mesurement tool (I find it really not user friendly right now, since it doesn't save your measurements when you close it) It could also be a good idea if you could name each of your measurements
If they can manage to do this, they will be close to Matterport in terms of quality
Then, if they're still able to deliver a cheaper, faster solution, and keep that edge, now we would have better competitive advantage.
Plus, they have other features that Matterport doesn't have
Like UI Meet 3D (I hope they'll improve this tech as well)
Other features that could be added:
Fast volume calculation (For HVAC companies, as an example)
Fast surface area calculation (for floor renovations, for example)
More interactive UI tags
Maybe, exterior walls of the dollhouse. (I don't know if that's possible, but it would be awesome as it would be a first in the market.)

Matt, you really should copy/paste your post into an email and send it into Gislain. UI's a very approachable company. If you'd really rather not, please let me know and I'd be happy to do so. Cheers!

Hello Redcoats, I've already shared them some of my ideas with them. I know they're super friendly, so I don't want to be too insistent. I guess they are doing the best they can. So, if you want to share these ideas with them, you can do it! There's also the mobile version of the 3D tours that needs to be more user friendly in my opinion! Thank you!
