VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Jun 21, 2011 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) --Uranium North Resource Corp. ("Uranium North" or the "Company")CA:UNR+13.64%announces drilling is underway on the Company's100% owned Amer Lake project in Nunavut. The program is designed totest for additional uranium mineralization along strike of the MainZone deposit in an attempt to increase the existing 19.3 millionpound uranium resource(i).
During an initial program approximately 20 drill holes southeast ofthe inferred resource(i) are planned. An additional 20 holes havebeen proposed for a second phase program (See Map:https://www.uraniumnorth.com/s/AmerLake-Main.asp ).
An important aspect of the program is to identify additional highergrade and thicker zones as observed in drill hole UNR-15. (See newsrelease dated August 6, 2009.)

Reverse circulation drill cuttings will be logged in the field underbinocular microscope. A scintillometer will be used to measureintervals with elevated uranium prior to sampling. Geochemicalsampling will be conducted every 1.5 metre.
