Wollastonite Pricing Truth And Why It's Hard to Find
Wollastonite and pricing...this is the big question so many have been asking or crying about when it comes to LOI's or Definitive Agreements. "Why oh why hasn't VERT provided pricing details," you say...Answer is, why would VERT disclose pricing on a NR EVER?? Why would you ever provide information directly to your competition when it comes to your pricing. I'm sure you have all tried to google "Wholesale pricing for Wollastonite 2022"...only to find there is no info except for some misleading Aliexpress, Alibaba or other Chinese/Indian companies that say they will sell you tonne bags starting at $100 usd/tonne...BUT when you look closer into the purchase you realize they are charging you thousands of dollars per tonne to export...and you have to use their Logistics provider...how convenient!! The old make the product look tempting and get them on the shipping trick to make up your profit.
Or I'm sure you all read up on the https://pubs.usgs.gov/periodicals/mcs2020/mcs2020-wollastonite.pdf which by the way is outdated and from 2020 and states "Prices for domestically produced wollastonite were estimated to be between $300usd to $320usd per metric ton. Price data for globally produced wollastonite were unavailable." In fact, production and pricing from the United States is withheld completely!! (Why advertise if you don't have too)
Oh, and let’s not forget the "Specially Challenged" individuals who claim Wollastonite sells for 50usd/tonne HAHA...ridiculous. The average cost to extract Wollastonite in 2022 from an open pit quarry is around $100usd per tonne when you factor in (Permitting, Labour, Machinery, Buildings, Roadways, Power, Crushing, Packaging, Storage, Depreciation, etc.) So why would you sell for a LOSS??? (If you’re wondering where I got $100usd per tonne quarry costs...I've worked in pit operations for rock quarries...same principles apply.
Look people, VERT will never provide you full details regarding any LOI or Definitive Agreement they sign...it’s just not good business practice. Especially since all of their competition is Privately Owned Wollastonite companies...even IMERY's subsidiary NYCO is private, and in no way needs to advertise any of their clients or pricing.
So, what does that mean...well for those of you who are actual seasoned investors it means nothing...you don't care...Why?? SEDAR!! Every public company must file all public documents including Definitive Agreements that have been accepted and approved by the exchange! So, if you’re that concerned about the particulars of the deal, you can simply download a copy to view from SEDAR after it is filed. Enough Said.
By the way, all commodity sales are always F.O.B. Freight on Board meaning the buyer or distributor is liable for all shipping costs the second it leaves the yard/claim, you pay...No 30, 60 or 90 day terms in this business.
