VentriPoint Diagnostics Ltd V.VPT

Alternate Symbol(s):  VPTDF

Ventripoint Diagnostics Ltd is a Canada-based medical device company. The Company is engaged in the development and commercialization of diagnostic tools that monitor patients with heart disease. It is developing a suite of applications for all heart diseases and imaging modalities, including congenital heart disease, pregnancy, pulmonary hypertension, COVID-19, imaging, and cardiotoxicity in oncology patients. The Company’s Ventripoint Medical System (VMS+) is a diagnostic aid that was developed to provide a point-of-care solution to better communicate the heart’s structure and function without the need for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). VMS+ enhances ultrasound, providing three-dimensional (3D) technology that allows for visualization of all four chambers of the heart. The system’s proprietary Knowledge Based Reconstruction (KBR) technology creates 3D models of the heart and calculates volumes and ejection fractions equivalent to the gold-standard Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

RE:RE: Mayo clinic and mD Anderson both with units.good comment and DD on The Mayo Clinic
@Walkoverthestreet @Cardinal was Mayo one of the placements or is it one of the POs on hand. " Mayo clinic has a VMS. pretty sure they purchased it recently. they championed VMS at recent conference. Look for them to make a large order" Trying to understand Alivira's statement on Mayo during the call.

@pieintheskyguy one other thing on the hospitals versus clinics discussion. its the echo experts at hospitals that write the influential papers on new techniques, which appears to translate into new imaging guidelines, which likely influences cardiology practices more broadly. so you want the Lasers and Mertens of the world using the tech first.

@hassy @V7491B The ultimate goal is to get mass adoption & become standard of care, not individual sales. To get mass adoption, the strategy set by VPT is to go after all the KOLs as the 1st step and once all KOLs validates this, we dont NEED to sell to individual clinics- they will come to us to buy. The team is busy with KOLs so unless we have unlimited resources, as shareholder, I will not want them to start tackling these individual clinics.

@hassy Yes, the roll out will be slower, but the payday at the end is much greater.

@honesttrader their focus is pediatric congenital cardiac cases, esp complex ones thus why they feel sites will need/want 2 units, one for echo dept and one for neonatal unit. Relayed story of a pediatric cardiologist with 2 pediatric pts with complex cardiac issues & requiring weekly cardiac MRI's, except 1 pt can't do the weekly MRI so VMS solves those issues. I've reset my expectations another year out but if the Mayo Clinic orders a couple units in the interim.... that will be a huge catalyst.

@budmancubfan @Fdylan Based on billings I’ve received I’d say you are essentially saying this is a huge win for a clinic with 5 doctors. Pay back within 6 months, easily.

@Rodgerb Hopefully when large hospitals such as Mayo Clinic buy units, word of mouth will spread. Referral business is usually easiest and best sales tool available.

@budmancubfan Alvira said specifically that they are in the process of scheduling an evaluation with The Mayo Clinic. Agree that she said they would most likely be interested in two units.
