Now CAR leadership is urging those with whom CAR members met—members of Parliament, senators and other government officials—to take several specific steps. These include:   

1. Invest $1 billion over three years for medical imaging equipment to be distributed to the provinces on a per capita basis.
2. Implement a health HR strategy—one that includes hiring more radiologic technologists.
3. Collaborate with physicians to build a national clinical decision support (CDS) system that will equip imaging referrers with better access to medical imaging guidelines, ensuring that patients receive the right imaging test at the right time.
4. Harness homegrown AI applications for the strategic prioritization of health human resources, technology and infrastructure for medical imaging across Canada.

 

 

 

The CAR says the November meetings on Parliament Hill focused on “the devastating impact of excessively long wait times for medical imaging, especially as we continue to deal with disruptions from COVID-19.”

    Why? G you are really stretching to promote now The demand for VPT product has been almost nonexistent, and the need ,if you read the report, is for MRI and CT. A Cardiac MRI falls in the same family does it not?  You can't see past your nose!! When a hospital is backed up they are backed up with all medical services. For you, all the i's need to be dotted and all the t's crossed before you make a decision to invest. But to each his own! G1945V

An MRI id a different technology,provides different images and is used for different indications than cardiac imaging For example, staging for cancer, imaging the abdomen etc You are conflating and saying with certainty something that has a sink stated association  to VPT VPT is a story stock The sales have been zero to low and milestones have not neen met So yeah my nose sniffs out

You probably don't even know what a Cardiac MRI looks like if it hits you in the head. Have you ever been under one? And do you seriously believe the VMS+ does not fit in dealing with the devasting impact of long waits for medical imaging of the heart? No one suggested that the article deals with or that it zeros in directly with the VMS+. Do you ever use your common sense?  G1945V
