I tried telling this group long ago you will be diluted and scammed, the real magnesium is already found, Thetford mines and Albania. Bay mag is the other private producer. China controls 85% of magnesium they are going to start the critical search in North America soon. Get there before they do! American Mag will not keep up and Dead Sea magnesium is not cost effective shipping. Alliance magnesium and 3Rminerals is key. Mazarin Inc and Asbestos corp are the land holders of 3Rminerals Check out ECO2 magnesia as well. We used to be #3 producer af magnesium till they shut down Noranda Magnolia plant near Thetford mines,in Danville let's hope we can see those days again.

RS - I surfed the information on the ECO 2 Magnesium Web site. This statement struct me: Over 130 years, mining activity in the region left many piles of waste or spent tailings. These piles contain a significant amount of residual magnesium. The combined total gross value for magnesium alone in the Chaudire-Appalaches and Estrie regions is estimated at $400 billion, excluding secondary metals

RS - Taking the gross value ... $400 billion [CAD] and China Mag99% spot price of 24,250 CNY/tonne, I calculated 88.5M Mg tonnes for the Chaudire-Appalaches and Estrie regions.It should be noted the spot price is half the one year high set in Nov 2021. Lets half the tonnage to 44.25M Mg tonnes to refect the Nov peak price and losses in the process. I found this interesting as well: CM predicts

Just taking a different perspective on the "a global production target of "1.8 million tons by 2030". The article I posted states "the commissioning of the full-scale plant is expected to produce approximately 60,000 tonnes of MgO per year.". This is probably why it took almost 6 months for the exchange to approve the financing for WMG. Quebec doesn't want the competition. It's a good thing WMG is going to the US. Canada doesn't support Canadian technology if it doesn't pay political gains.

I'm not disputing polictics has a factor in which technologies are being promoted. I witnessed it first hand in a high tech tech company chossing between Oracle vs Sybase RDBMS. Oracle won becuase Corporate bean counters were using Oracle financials. They didn't give a cr_p about threaded kernal and OS contact switching in realtime manufacturing environmentt where through put is paramount.
