FINANCING CLOSE

I just want to confirm that this is closing in days, not weeks, per conversation with Jeff TODAY.

There will be two components: 1. bank funding 2. insurance co funding. Deets are TBD.

Be ready for a pop! I don't think 1.50 is out of the question unless the interest terms are unreasonable on the loans.

Man, I thought Jeff was in Hawaii! You just can't believe everything you read on bullboards anymore...   :)One thing is for certain...once the financing closes we go higher. And if it closes then it means we have a guaranteed additional revenue stream for years to come. Short term the price will go where it goes, but longer term it will be MUCH higher.Cheers,El Joro

I dont know what to say about the Hawaii thing as I did not post that info. It is possible though that he IS in Hawaii as the number I have for him always seems to forward to his cell (which is how I talked to him when he was in NYC).  He could also have just returned or not gone at all... no idea.I do know I spoke to him though and he said there is a SET closing date but that he cannot share ...more

Haha, dsark... I think 1.50 will be within the 2-3 trading days after news but you wont see 2.50-3 until windstar is ramping up and commissioning is complete. The market will be cautious of potential setbacks/overruns during the construction period and this will hold back the SP a bit for a few months. With every positive update though, you will see a ratcheting up of the SP as risk decreases with ...more

Hey Sultan...I was just poking light fun at no one in particular, or maybe just BB chatter in general...I take everything I read on these BBs with grains of salt but I also am not stupid enough to categorically dismiss everything I read as simple posturing. I quite appreciate your posts, as I do the posts and thoughts of almost everyone here. All in all it's really one of the better ...more

Don't forget the stock was in the $1.90 area in early February when the deal was thought to be imminent.Short term I think the stock moves to at least $1.90-$2.00 range and moves up from there. This deal is a company maker and will transform the company. With the deal in place it could also be a takeover target. The company will also be able to pay more attention to the other areas of their ...more

I agree that short term the stock has to go back to at least the $ 2.00 mark - 56 M shares outstanding and a $ 70 M grant is equal to $ 1.33 a share - that should be the starting point without any other consideration - if the book value is 53 cents and we add min $ 1.33 this puts the book value at almost $ 1.90 and we have not even considered future earnings from the new wind farm -  $ 2 to $ ...more

Pretty good analysis mm2mI see that Loewen has a $4.30 target on this stock. Does anyone have their research notes?

Well I know I'm been a holder and player of this stock.  I've always had positive long term outlook and relatively flat short term outlook for many months.  Hence my large volume buying and selling of the stock sometimes as much as 22,000 shares a day even been guilty of pushing the stock down a bit on some days on lower volume which I have made a nice penny on itself...Now I' ...more

That 70M grant goes towards the long term debt, essentially, its construction financing. This should not add value to the company. HOWEVER, like Sultan has explained, as the construction progresses, the SP will appreciate. Once the Windstar asset is 100% complete, the SP will be at $3.50 easily. After that, as long as Western Wind can meet their revenue projections in their first year, it will ...more

Xtr you are wrong about that grant adding value to the company. Here's an example...ASSETS:Capital assets (Windstar I) at cost: 300M (including what the grant money went for)LIABILITIES:Long term debt for Windstar I: 230MASSETS minus LIABILITIES for Windstar I is 70M.  That adds 70M to the balance regardless if it's sitting in cash or in capital assets.  That adds significant ...more
