200 share orders

Can anyone comment on the 200 share orders that are on both the bid and ask side right through level 2 ? They started up about a week ago, right around the same time this climb towards $2 started, and have been there ever since. I haven't noticed this before. Could it be a market maker or someone setting a trading range ????

I am baffled !

Wouldn't it show up this way if one person had a sell order to sell at a given price or better, and someone else put in orders at 200 a piece. Or the reverse (i.e. someone buying at a given price or better, and someone is selling into it in chunks).

As best I can guess what these 200 share lots represent I would be inclined to believe they are trigger trades. Trades that if hit or enough get hit.  They trigger to do something else like if 5 of this triggers or 200 share lots at differant level are hit then market buy 5000 shares or sell whichever which is preautomated.  I believe its been going on ...more
