stock manipulation

I just spoke to management and they report WND has filed a formal complaint last month with thorough and complete supporting documentation to the BC Securities Commission regarding our strong belief of market manipulation. This was done after we notified IIROC of the same activity many months ago. IIROC also recommended we file to the BC Securities Commission as IIROC noticed on their trading screens things did not appear proper. IIROC can not tell us what they saw at all, neither does the BC Securities Commission have any obligation to report their findings. This is how things work in Canada. We did speak with FINRA in the US, but their is simply very little US trading to make a case. All the US hedge funds that own WND trade through the TSX Venture. There can never be any doubt that management is extremely disappointed by the obvious trading patterns of WND stock. Management and family and friends own a lot of stock and options, and therefore only want the stock price to be in line with the company's asset values, which is a lot higher. We, as management have no tools or legal avenues in Canada to stop hedge funds from circle jerking the stock price to the benefit of their own pockets, while at the same time giving the long term shareholders any comfort.

It doesn't look like any of these actions are deterring anyone from doing what they're doing, if it is indeed market manipulation.   It is obvious that there's a shakeout happening. Whoever "Other" is, they're driving the price down in big 20k chunks, knocking out some stop losses, and fake walls setup by WND loyalists such as PI Financial. I imagine that retail ...more

Xtryr0   What is a "Market Mover" in your definition of the word.   Why does one party who buys a big share block want to pay more for the rest of their shares when they can play with the stock and get more at a cheaper price given they have more money and time than us blokes.  My suggestion is WND needs a good retail news letter writer who can get 10,000 or so new ...more

Sorry, meant to say market maker. And yes, I think we need some market makers available on hand to fulfill orders that fly by at a certain price and to make volume. I also agree that there should be more retail investor communication. That is a great idea. WND is still pretty grassroot with it's marketing, which is nothing wrong. Last thing I want is a pump and dump however.

I think the matter is taken care of in a discrete fashion between the parties involved.

Discreet? The parties involved should have the living shi.t choked out of them, a public horsewhipping, and jail time.

I hope J Mart is right cuz I hear in Canada you get 18 months for killing your mother, suspended sentence if you were drunk while doing the act, 6 months for robbery after the 5th conviction and NO TIME for distributing narcotics. It just appears bleak that any broker or hedge fund will get get anything for constantly trading stock back and forth between the same parties which when done on down ...more
