Lack of clarity on grant is hurting us...

The share price will only fall further until we get some clarity on the Windstar grant. I know management did not expect it to be delayed but it obviously has been. The Memorial Day weekend timing certainly hasn't helped as there would have been no further advancements made since late last week on the application.

Until we get a) grant approval or b) clarification from management that while delayed, the grant should be approved I can't see us going anywhere but down. I've long had this nagging fear (and have mentioned it here) that the grant approval would not be the slam dunk it has been portrayed to be. $90 million to a govt in financial crisis is not small peanuts.

In no way am I blaming management. I've applied for arts grants before and sometimes have been successful and sometimes have not. The applications remained the same in all cases, and it was the granting agency that decided my fate. And IMO we still quite likely will receive the money, at some point. But the uncertainty is adding another layer of fear surrounding WND, and the share price is behaving accordingly.

Still holding my shares, but no longer considering adding until I see which way the WND blows.

Ontario deadline was last week, Puerto Rico financing dedline was 2-3 weeks ago, cash grant deadline was last week. So what we get this company until AQN offer? Are you pleased? What I can see?! Jmart all realizations were right! If you can check the homepage there are a lot of unrelevant informations from their projects. We want to see clearly. This is the minimum!

I concur El Joro. Uncertainty has hurt us all along. The markets do not like uncertainty. I think some are bailing here because they are very nervous about the grant approval. Until we get confirmation, we are heading lower or sideways from here, at best. It seems like a golden opportunity to buy, but I am out of funds. But even if I had the means, I feel it would be a speculative move. We have Q1 ...more

I've avoided wading in on the continual whining about timelines before, but this might be an appropiate time.  First, they are estimates of what will happen in a perfect world.  The world never is.  Stuff happens.  Second, and this goes to those who keep wishing they could have sold their stock at $2.50.  It was so far from ever happening PLEASE stop harping.  ...more

Hey anott. I think you've got your girdle in anott.... I looked up the Stockhouse rules and I don't see anything against harping or whining. This is a place to vent, for those so inclined. Within certain limits, of course. Have a mojito.   Cheers.     Ching.

Ching, Nothing in a knot here :)  Just gets old hearing about 'what ifs' as if they were actually viable options.  Nothing at all against harping and whining... except that its a lot more useful when there is a good reason for it.  It's like crying over spilt milk that you never even bought.
