If we get a reliable management you will see it at your price.

RESPECT, with all due respect, I think management has and is doing a good job. They have shown some weakness on the communication and promotion side of things, but otherwise cannot be faulted for the predicament we are in right now, SP wise. IMO. They are in talks right now to secure the remaining 12 million. News is imminent. I believe they have a better than 50/50 chance of success. Otherwise ...more

Ching I think it best if we do not expect any more grant money to be forthcoming. The grant money however is not the disaster that some portray it to be. $78 million of equity ($1.25 a share)  has been added to the company. Book value of the company is now $1.75 a share or thereabouts. NAV is higher still. $70 million in high interest bridge financing will be paid down immediately. The ...more

Impega I agree with everything you are saying. Except that I think the company IS counting on partial, if not total, success. They have been getting ready for this for quite a while now. They have spoken to key people who obviously have not told them that they don't have a fighting chance. Otherwise, as I said, why are they there ? 5 million would be terrific !! And I think that that is what ...more

I should have said they are not counting on the full amount as that is not likely. I can see them "negotiating" a lesser amount which would still be a "win" for both sides. Jeff, however does seem confident in the full payout based on a "conservative" 20% developer fee. Kingman, a much smaller project was granted based on 15% developer fee, I believe.A 20 ...more

Hey Ching, What I have written to you earlier - I hold them up. My opinion is that to reach positive change in case of the price of this share, a new management would be needed. OR buyout if we are lucky. This company has abused both the shareholders and the market. The market is disciplining us because trust towards this company has been lost long ago. You are speaking now about future price of ...more
Comment by ching819 on Jul 18, 2012 3:50pm
Well, it can be debated whether or not the company has knowingly abused the shareholders. But  how has it abused the market ? By avoiding dilution ? If I have put my trust in the company's management, it's because I know it takes a long time to achieve that 'critical mass' that will finally pay off. Jeff has been at this for 12 years, I believe. So, not only did I give ...more

impega, you posted this: <<$78 million of equity ($1.25 a share)  has been added to the company.>> would you then care to: a) further clarify your opinion or b) explain why WND is currently trading at -.01 compared to your $1.25 statement c) why the share price of WND have moved up positively on this event as many predicted.   Regards.   PS this statement is factually ...more

The company and stock price is being negatively affected by the headwinds of a very poor macro-environment. As Jeff stated in the CC, there is a disconnect between the market value of the shares and the actual value of the assets. The book value and NAV of the company are much higher than the current stock price which I believe creates an opportunity. Over time the shareprice should increase ...more

J_mart I can't speak on Jeff's behalf, nor speculate on manipulation, investigations, regulators etc. In my opinion since you asked the greatest impact on the company right now is the macro-environment. The stock market is not doing well, we are on the brink of a double dip recession, Europe is imploding, hedge funds are blowing up and what else?  Specifically, alternative energy is ...more

impega, your understanding of the impact of the debt paydown is simply very wrong.  "odd" that none of the SIPS who tried to showoff their financial acumen only to be shown to be wiz's of id and no more, tried to help you out. but the "value" of the paydowm is the incremental positive cash flow (or after tax earnings) /share impact.  it is simply not what you ...more

Cutthebsbud, my understandinding of the debt paydown is very simple. $70 million of debt is paid off, thus increasing the shareholders equity. Do you not agree that the shareholders equity has increased by $78 million?
Comment by Xtrykr0 on Jul 19, 2012 9:59am
Impega, paying down debt does not increase shareholder equity by the amount in which the debt is paid down - what it does do is increase the equity by the amount from revenues that would otherwise be used to pay down debt obligations, both in principal and interest over 'x' period of time. This is represented by a reduction in interest expenses in future cash flows.   Paying down a ...more

Xtrykr0, in this case the grant never showed anywhere on the balance sheet prior to receipt( It was not a receivable or in cash). Therefore its receipt has an immediate impact on the bottom line ie) shareholders equity increases $78 million upon receipt (by $1.25 a share). It will show in Q3. $8 million will be added to cash (restricted) and debt will be reduced $70 million.
Comment by Xtrykr0 on Jul 19, 2012 10:47am
I stand corrected. I did not realize it was not already in receivables.
Comment by ching819 on Jul 19, 2012 11:18am
X I had asked Lawrence about setting it up as an A/R around the 28th of June when it appeared definite that they would receive it. He said they weren't able to do so because 'it wasn't the same as if they had sent out an invoice'.   Ching.

No you're right, this is literally a 'bonus' cash infusion that I did not realize, more along the lines of winning the lottery really.

impega, i hope you aren't serious cause what you posted is way too funny. it is as inane as me taking the March 31, 2012 loans payable line from the BS , comparing it to March 31, 2011 and stating that its worth a -.10/share (as the payable increased by about $6M)..but it is as stupidly meaningless as what you posted. the value of ths Balance Sheet in total is primarily and almost exclusively ...more
