Probs do yo think Brookfield ups their offer before the auction process is over? $2.50 is obviously dead in the water.

Pure guess is Brookfield put the offer out only to expediate the process making sure they can own WND in early 2013 Translation - They make Jeff have to put out highest offer by Jan 28th and if it suits them they then make their real offer

But what if there is a lock up agreement with the highest auction bidder with a substantial break fee. Would make it more expensive if not impossible for Brookfield to beat. Its a game of chess.

Excellent point as the assets compliment Brookfields properties beyond perfectly May very well heat up at any moment as the next move could be crucial to success
