The timing of the letter by Brookfield to Western Wind may not be a coincidence. The timing is interesting. Some shareholders have complained to the Ontario and BC Security Commissions that Brookfield is in breach of the regulations for Insiders. Agro's is it possible that there could be a bid released this week?

But if what Brookfield says is true, and WND has shut them out, then it would seem that WND's management is not negotiating in our best interests. If WND's California assets are the most valuable to a company like Brookfield, I want them engaged fully. Something is beginning to smell, again.

But was it not Brookfields decision not to sign the agreement and end enter the data room to be part of the bidding process? It does not stop them from uping the bid once one is made  but they should not disrupt the process Rothchild has put together.

WND is shutting out BEP because BEP refused to sign an NDA like the other potential suitors; hence, the blind offer of $2.50. You can't refuse to sign an NDA and then cry that you aren't getting info. They are just getting nervous that they may be out of the running and want to raise their offer but don't know by how much, because they don't have the data.
