As you are most likely sitting on a solid capital gain, that is probably a reasonable move.

If Yacuboa doesn't close by Feb 11th, and we don't get any more bids, Brookfield will probably get the required number of shares.

Jeff has been given another two weeks, and if that isn't enough to get something done, I think a lot of investors will join your exit, but by tendering to Brookfield.

This has to get done, and I am not giving WND any more free passes.

I know it is worth more, but enough is enough.

Its like going to a boxing match and leaving before the last round. JC and Rothchild have the clout.

  I've been on this board many years I've seen promises delivered by wnd and I'm seen the delays...  Yeah WND should get $3 a share but the question is and always has been WHEN? Yes bakken you are correct my original buyin was 0.63 on April 24 2009. Again IF the brookfield bid fails and were in no mans land after Feb 11 with no bidders and no closing of yabacoa the share ...more

No worries, I pretty much understood that to be your position. I am hopeful that something gets done on Yabucoa, but agree that it could be much longer than most investors could wait. There have been too many disappointments in the market, and investors are not very patient these days, me included. agrossfarm is correct that Yabucoa is mostly out of WND's hands, but something could have been ...more

Will Brookfields bid fail?   personally I hope so too but the numbers at the moment are telling    2 differant storys Brookfield bid will fail - NR 78% WND ind Shareholders demand a higher bid Brookfield bid will pass -  Brook bids $2.50 WND market hits $2.85   Brook bids $2.60 WND market hits $2.55  closes day @ $2.51

There was hope that we would hear something about Yabucoa by the end of January. But that is only three days away, and nothing. I think WND investors are worn out, and getting tired of waiting. Unfortunately, that plays into the hands of Brookfield. Jeff needs to get something together, and soon.
