Today, Abitibi Metals (AMQ.c AMQFF) announced the drilling of 14.55m at 1.48g/t Gold at its Beschefer Project!
The results are from a 2,335m drill program focusing on the East Zone of the project, with key findings including:
- 1.05 g/t gold over 15.15 metres from 222.75 metres depth
- 1.48 g/t gold over 14.55 metres from 219.85 metres depth
- 1.46 g/t gold over 6.0 metres from 259.0 metres depth
Notably, these results have extended the East Zone by ~100m to the northeast, achieving continuity at 50m spacing.
Located ~7km east of AMQ's B26 High Grade Polymetallic Deposit which boasts an indicated resource of 6.9MT @ 2.94% Cu Eq and an inferred resource of 4.41MT @ 2.97% CuEq, the Beschefer Project is an advanced gold exploration project with significant near-term resource potential.
Covering 962 acres in a favourable orogenic gold setting within the Northern Abitibi Greenstone Belt, the project is highlighted by previous intersections including 55.63 g/t gold over 5.57 metres and 4.92 g/t gold over 28.65 metres.
Highlighting the success in expanding the zone alongside gold breaking all time highs, AMQ's CEO, Jonathon Deluce, commented:
“For this program, we targeted higher risk extensional drilling which was successful in expanding the zone 100 metres to the northeast. We continue to expand the footprint and we believe we will find higher grade trends within the wider mineralized body with future drilling.”
The B26 deposit
AMQ is finalizing the Phase 2 drilling program at its B26 Deposit, targeting expansion at depth and along strike.
Regarding Phase 2, Deluce additionally commented:
“The team has been working hard on preparations for our Phase 2 drill program at B26 focused on expanding the deposit at depth and filling gaps in the block model. The team is currently on site to prepare drill pads in anticipation of the arrival of our first drill. Our detailed modeling has reinforced the expansion potential of the Deposit and we look forward to highlighting our Phase 2 drill program in detail over the coming weeks.”
Well funded with $16.5M for its 2024 program, AMQ has an additional 20,000m planned for 2025, all of which will be incorporated into a PEA to complete the B26 Deposit
Further, AMQ has optioned Southern Arm Project to Usha Resource allowing for further development while the company focuses on its advanced projects like the B26 Polymetallic Deposit and Beschefer Project.
