good news
as expected. not many companies out there that provide a possible nice reward for such a small risk.
hopefully the clowns will disappear now.
thanks for the well informed update.

More info would be nice. If they are doing a physical lab test are they using an existing chip or have they got someone to make a few samples of the redesigned chip?

I would think that if they had succeeded in making test chips, they would have mentioned it. I would consider it a more important (current) achievement than the "foreward looking statement" filled report they just published.

Over the many years these bozos dragged their heels chip manufacturing made advances in reduced sizes and larger wafers (more chips per wafer) so they had to do an upgrade.

The thing is yfi is from what I've read is doing something to update the chip manufacturing. They are still using a design from 20 years ago. If that's in fact the case.......yikes. Why aren't they building a new chip? Probably can't afford to do that. How many companies are using chip designs from 20 years ago? Or 20 months ago.

p.s. I emailed Andrew at the time and asked what was meant by performance improvements. No damn reply.
