The elephant in the room?

Does the global Wi-Fi industry at large finally acknowledge that one channel of WiFi is not enough?  If yes, then the next question shoud be how many channels do they acknowledge for current needs is enough, and just as importantly, what would they consider more than enough channels for future designed timelines?

Hence, it is more than obvious what you need to know as shaeholders and I somehow doubt you will ever know until after the fact. How many Tier 1 service providers are presently engaged with YFI, and how many plan to be in the near future?  This same question applies to OEM/ODMs. Now, if you can`t get that information from YFI and believe they are duty bound to tell you, I suggest an alternative source. Considering that it always takes 2 to tango, why not go to the public corporations you suspect may be a such candidate. Why not start with Apple?
Contact them directly and ask them whether they have currently been in communications with YFI and if so, request that they tell you the exact specifics of any conversation. If this becomes a problem then inbox leo and hopefully through his contacts way, way up in the stratosphere of the wifi industry, he may provide an answer.

The elephant has not spurred a lot of volume thus far, but then it's only the first hour of trading. Most, I guess, are still trying to digest the news.

All excellent points. Cable labs and otiers in the industry new for years that they were going in the direction of multichannel and continue to ignore Dual Channel  Wi-Fi. Publicly atleast. And while they ignored it, they created their own versions of software to do just what we are doing. We just happen to do it with silicone at the physical air so I agree what does that say about the ...more

"we have been in a material news vacuum for quite some time." About 12 years I would say.  I, as usual, am baffled by your logic. You think MLO is some sort of imitation of wifi3. It isn't at all. Do you not know wifi3 runs 3 separate networks? Has this changed? The implication is you don't automatically roam to the best channel. You pick one and that's your channel. ...more

You have been baffled by logic since your first post.  I advised you sometime ago that you have neither the authority or education to be entitled to using the pronoun "We" Hence, your quote should be written as: "I have been in a material news vacuum for some time." However, even that is not quite correct since you lack the capacity to distinguish what is material news ...more

What an ultramaroon. I didn't say that Tommy did. Is it OK if he uses "we". We all want to know.
