Too, too bad
As a Canadian it warms my heart to hear anyone, Canadian or nonCanadian to wish any Canadian company to do well. One can only assume this includes private as well as public co.s
It is of particular interest that you state that there is little different about this technology than when they went public with it 12 years ago. I beg to differ in your reasoning.
Maybe your attention would be better suited by first questioning whether the nature of Wi-Fi demand and the problems associated with the employment of legacy single channel have changed within that same time period not withstanding the fact the number of times the standard was changed with the intent to remedy all current and near future problems. Just how successful has that been?
You allude to the fact that there have been several test cases and that CableLabs got involved and promoted the company across the globe. Personally, this piques my curiosity because I have yet to see evidence of CableLabs promoting YFI. They promote the development and success of all technolgies that woud support their successful completion of 10G, including their development of Dual Channel Wi-fi alongside some participation from YFI. This was done for the benefit of their members who all employed legacy single channel wi-fi. If YFI ever developed and made availaible a scaled wi-fi chip that could further optimize the wi-fi performance by employing this open source software, so much the better for the service providers and their customers.
What intrigues me is your question statement: "So why is it that there is no interest.?"
No interest in what? In the final stage development of a Wi-Fi7 chip including AI applications?
Let`s end this discussion by repeating your inane comment ".....a 50X increase in throughput is now maybe 10X because existing technology has naturally improved over time." And you imply that improvement from existing technology is something to be heralded? Hey cowboy, the accepted benchmark for anything worthy of being tagged as a potential disruptive innovation is 10Xs.
What if I told you that you are a failure because 12 years ago you claimed you were 50Xs better than any other web designer that existed, and that now you are a bigger failure because you are only 10Xs better.
We do differ. I now am in the belief that your highest and best value is best exemplified when you are out thwapping deer flies.

If claims were revenue Yfi would be Nvidia.
