Last I heard …

GP took / taking a short break, apparently gave one to drillers as well, heard we were at the 1900 mark. Every one should be back at work no later than mid month or sooner.... One thing for sure, Gerald is not going into upcoming gold forum events empty handed.

Thanks Red. I was wondering aboud that. It all lines up for Septembet again to be our biggest news month. Just like last year. Briggs meating is August 22. If they go with a new gold backed currency Gold will go up and GP will have timed it perfectly. Investers will be looking for opportunities to cash in on the trent and we will be in the spotlight having great drill results and a new upgraded ...more

i don't know of any company that takes a break mid way through a drill hole. never ever heard of that.  they take breaks during a drill campaign etc. but not a drill hole. costs way to much to have the drill just sitting there.  the drill company surly has other crews that can come out and relieve the tired crew. lol.  guys there is more going on, more unforeseen risks

Correct if you can drill your hole with one bit. You can not leave a pipe sitting in a hole for long. It could sease up. This hole is so deep they will have to change drillbits several times. And I beleive they also have to pull the pipe for making sure they are on target.  Perfect time to take a break is when you have to pull the pipe anyways. The company gets paid by drill meters not hours ...more

they will definitely need to do some bit trips, no question about that. i can 100% assure you that the service company that is drilling is getting paid by the day, if the rig just sitting there, Gold terra will need to pay a stand by rate for the rig and possibly for the crew (if Gold terra really wants the same crew)  There is no company i've ever seen willing to leave equipment on site ...more

They have been drilling up here since 1932 there is probably little they don't know about the rock and what bits to use....conditions will govern. Drillers, like carpenters, pipe fitters , nurses and doctors etc etc are hard to come by anywhere, in fact my guess is, right now, these guys have more drills than people to operate. ( I am in similar business). labour supply rules the roost, they ...more

I did some digging .There is no problem with the hole. They had a block two weeks ago at 1900 meters. It got fixed and they are back drilling.
Comment by Tuckerthefox on Aug 09, 2023 8:10pm
Does anyone know the name of the driller? I should be investing with them. They will make money whether they find gold or not. Ha ha
Comment by CaseProdemo on Aug 09, 2023 9:10pm
The driller is Foraco. They are not getting paid for sitting idle while they fixed the block because it was human error on their part. I would not throw my money at them and stick with GP. Buy some more Gold Terra. LOL.
Comment by CaseProdemo on Aug 10, 2023 7:51am
Foraco is the third biggest driller in the world with 3000 employees. They happen to have an office in Yellowknive. GP did not go with the cheaper Mom and Pap outfit for this deep hole. They are concidered the top in the field of drilling. We are in good hands lost two weeks but that is not material in the big pickture.

And they have a yard and office in Yellowknife, not far from me lol ...

In the past we did not have this real time info. Thank you internet. Can you go and look if the drill started back up? Or is the site closed for the public. My info was not sure what date that would be. 1900 meters puts the time of completion around the end of this month. Essays a month later. This is huge.

Access at site is secured at the Gate house to the site. However one never knows if that gate is left open from time to time but will check as I can.  In winter we can get in via snowmobile, but we are a long way from that.
Comment by CaseProdemo on Aug 11, 2023 3:12pm
Yes we got some results to look forward to before snow falls. A lot more deep drilling as well if the results warrant it. An updated resourse is promissed as GP keeps plugging away. We are due for an update. More gold means more value and price comes to value. Even in todays upside down world. One and one will always be two. Even if you can buy it now for fifty cents. That's my two cents worth ...more

I can confirm the gate is securely locked but some traffic has been seen entering and leaving, unsure if it's Newmont activity or our drillers. Would be a good time for GP to be speaking to shareholders on what the situation is ..
Comment by CaseProdemo on Aug 17, 2023 8:47am
Thanks Red. I did talk to the company last week and was told an update is comming shortly. That activity at the gate must be ours because we are the only ones that hired contractors working on the site. The BRICS nations meeting is next week. I beleive if they come up with anything resembling a gold backed currency for their settlements within members. Gold will finaly break into new high ...more

Agreed and local info ( for what it's worth) tells me, the rig is not leaving the site, but I have not seen for my self but have no reason to believe otherwise.
