Political Ads
Based on basic google search, political ads seem to be ramping up the past month. They will only intensify as we get closer to the election, and the majority is spent after Labour Day.
I am guessing management will try to delay releasing the ugly Q2 results until the very end of August, trying to build as much of a positive spin as possible if July/August are starting to show some type of turnaround. I am also guessing by that time we will know if there will be any follow through in political customers - this will be a make or break aspect of our 2nd half results. likely around 4 billion will be being spent on local broadcast and cable ads...We need a slice of that to make this year worth anything. Again, I would be confident if there was any semblance of significant insider buying, but to no avail.
Well they certainly are awful communicators. No PR for almost 2 months in the middle of the worst economic dip of our lifetimes. Way to reassure investors. A big 200K+ Ask is now down to 11 cents, not a good sign.
