Vaaldiam Mining Inc > production begins ... or not !

Post by hotinfo on Oct 10, 2010 7:49pm

production begins ... or not !

in the PRESS RELEASE of August 2010 it states that Duas Mine will begin production in the third quarter of 2010 (article below).  If you do the calculations that's July August September,  which has passed.
Its ok that it passed but there is no update on why production hasn't started, the bottlenecks of the project, etc. - unless I missed out on some report... ??!!!

any reason why this mine is still dormant and if so, why no update..... when will it start ...

although Diamonds are a girl's best friend, they do not seem to be much interest to investors at the moment !
Robert

from press release ...
Duas Barras Mine

Mining operations commenced at Duas Barras alluvial diamond mine in Minas Gerais, Brazil in the second

quarter. A number of upgrades and expansions to the diamond recovery plant have been completed and plant

commissioning began in July. In addition to the preparation work for the diamond recovery, the Company also

implemented a tailings reprocessing project which involved the construction of two gold recovery sluices. Full

production is expected to resume before the end of the third quarter with estimated production in 2010 of

approximately 15,000 carats and in 2011 of approximately 40,000 carats, at a cost of US$85/carat. The

Company is preparing exploration programs to upgrade and expand its resources at Duas Barras and is in

discussions to acquire additional prospective properties.

Good question, I was expecting news last week and will contact Chris to see what is going on. They are good with their communication and this is the longest I have seen without an update. I have the feeling we are going to be seeing some pretty big numbers. I follow VAA closely and trading has been very irregular with one day 150000 shares next few days low 30s then another 100000 plus day ...more

Hi, I have been accumulating since the acquisition as I believe VAA is ready to erupt. But I am getting anxious as VAA is currently constipated, and I wish it would unconstipate with some serious news. Who is Chris, and I would appreciate some feedback on this stock. Also, do you have an opinion on the following stocks:MAAFNIBWRTIMXEAwaiting your feedback. Mike

Mike: Don't know what I was thinking but is Cathy Rodriquez at VAA that I email. I am out visiting and will do some more research when I get home tomorrow. Just so you know I am a holder of Mag and just upped stake last Mon prior to small run up. I also hold AAA, as I believe one of the two is a serious takeover target with the other being a slower play. I believe something will happen with ...more

I dont like todays action! When is this stock going to erupt!

I don't know Mike but when I look at their holdings and investments without the diamond mine the stock is still undervalued. I notice that shares were snapped up today with a lot of shares changing hands. If price is same tomorrow I will be adding until news is out. To me this is a good stock. VAA website even states that they are greatly undervalued and should be trading at a minimum or .59 ...more

This is getting to be frustrating. VAA seems to talk the talk, but can't walk the walk. They continue to make false promises. Im starting to think this stock is a mirage. I wish management would do something!
