Has anyone noticed that world is awash in oil now?

Today's headlines. Finally the press has awakened to the obvious.

The Americans now have all their chips in place. (911 was the writing on the wall and it has taken thirteen years to achieve, energy self sufficiency with the help of little cousin called Candada.)

So what will the Arabs do ? Now their cartel games are over?  We have seen it already. Prices fall.

So what is the future of plays like PRY ?  I have  no idea.   I do realize I am annoyed at myself for being in this little play.... should have known better.

The world has always been awashed with oil. the question is the cost of it. give producers   close to $100 per barrell and they will have enough for the capex to drill new wells all the   time to replace production (shale = well over 50% decline first year). when price will go down,   the production will peak soon after and start declining within a year. have you ...more

Yes Ofirme, we all know it is expensive to get oil .... that is exactly , my very point. Glad you noticed. And more of it will keep the price down.  Now to figure out how to get lots of it to Europe and cut the Russians out ..... and that is coming.  But for now oil is a messy business all round.
