Victoria Gold Corp > Our Fearless Leader!!!

Our Fearless Leader!!!

One more reason why we need a new exec team. We have a CEO that is supposed to be a promoter of this stock and reflect excitement and positivity to the public, and the S/H's that pay their significant salaries year round. Yet they refuse to work all winter with drill programs to enhance the companies ability to prove up a potentially huge resource. In McConnell's Openining Quote our CEO says "It’s going reasonably well, but if I had my druthers, then we wouldn’t be ramping-up a new gold mine during a pandemic,” John McConnell, Victoria Gold’s president and CEO, said during the Northern Miner’s Global Mining Symposium in mid-November.

If you cannot come up with something better than that on a national stage either quit /or quit talking and hire a professional PR firm to handle these situations and speak on behalf of the company. Clearly our CEO has no ability to convey positivity. If you don't want to put in 100% effort here, then go somewhere else where they don't have a mine under development and you can take 6 months a year off. Allow someone who cares about getting the job done under any circumstances take over.

Later in the article McConnell says:
“It’s early days at Nugget, and we’ve got lots of work to do,” McConnell said, “but it looks like there could be another Eagle-type deposit out to the east of Eagle.”

So where is the work???? Why are we not pursuing this with positvity publicly, and with vigor internally? Why are we not drilling more than 35 holes a year. We supposedly had 3 drills on the property this summer. That is 12 holes per drill. What did they do for the other 3 months? Now we have to wait until spring again - after the breakup and after the spring thaw and after the rainy season and maybe we will get out there by May or June and drill another 35 holes only to wait 3 more months for results again. We'd have a potentially huge new resource at Raven but at this pace, god knows when we will be able to prove it. During several occasions over the years McConnell stated that he has no inclination to sell this project and that it was going to be an operating mine and his legacy. Maybe he is holding true to those comments and has no incentive to build this project any faster because he has an alternative agenda. After all we S/H's are paying his $25,000/month salary year round regardless of the fact that we stop exploration for 6-7 months a year and we have a mine operator that manages the onsite issues for the company 12 months a year.
If we are paying the team for this wonderful promotion and publicity, they are grossly over-paid. Get you heart in it and commit to the process of expanding the project or find a buyer who will take it over and run this property at its potential. Do something positive for the S/H's. At least find someone else to talk to the public and show some excitement.

Damn right I am upset. As should the rest of the S/H's including yourself. Based on the lack of performance of this companies exec team, and the obvious inability of the CEO to promote any exceitement. I cannot remember in all my years of investing and in the private sector arena that a CEO had this total lack of ability to speak about his own company and convey at least some excitement ...more

Thank You for proving my point!! We were at value of $20 just over 2 months ago and you were touting a $30 takeover in early Jan. Buy my shares @ $20 it is a smoking deal.  The problem here is what you have just confirmed. We probably have a long time to wait to get back to where we were. WHY?? It is because of team does not seem to be motivated to do their well paid job to get back anywhere ...more

OK, I'll chime in, lets help management out of our predicament.  What should management do to provide more/any detail as to the resource at Raven? Ditto at Lynx and other Dublin Gulch exploration targets. How about a detailed plan month by month, somewhat like the detail provided for improvements to the Eagle operations. After all we know what the gold production will be for the next ...more

Totally agree with you Phoenix. Monthly reporting on production, dill planning, updates etc. I believe even announcing a current drill program would have a positive effect on share price. Does anyone even have any details of the lawsuit and current status, whom is suing and took out the lein. Management needs to be more active in giving out info. and current status. We should not have to wait 3-4 ...more

As many have already posted previously. This team has difficulty replying to anyone, be it email - phone or text. They have left this public forum as one of the few venues with which to discuss anything. I am pretty sure the company likely reads what goes on here and if we as S/H start to voice our concerns here,  perhaps we can ilicit change or at least awarness of the lack of communication ...more

@dbbclb, A well thought out comment that I sincerely hope our Board of Directors and Orion read, digest and act upon. The unwanted destruction of shareholder value given the apparent exploration success at Raven not to mention Lynx (Drill results?) falls on the CEO's shoulders.  No IR and abysmal PR handling of the Q3 results needs Board action. Not one word concerning the Raven results ...more

Thank You Phoenix_trader. It is nice to see your support for my concerns. I have great respect for your commentaries as being factual and to the point. I wish a few more people would speak out. Maybe if the company is monitoring this we might even bring some changes that would put the value back in these shares.
