Good news

I think it is very good news.

It is good news. I can assure you that Coeur has no interest in only a 20% stake. They will buy VIT out. They have a historry of buying out companies. Coeur has been one of my core positions for years. I knew Victoria would get bought out, but I didn't expect it to be by CDE,

This explains the holding back of the share price for this friendly transaction.  Watch for some good news to start rolling out after this is completed.  I think the foundation has been set for the buyout/merger possibilities with the new company having  a leg up on the other potential suitors.  First kick at the can is a worthwhile bet for them.  GLTA.  Ready to hold ...more

I am 99% certain they are going to aquire the rest of the shares. The only question is how much of a premium are they going to offer. I am surprised Victoria shareprice isn't up higher. Now maybe James can admit that I was right about why John wasn't aggressively pursuing a NY listing.

Chillyjames will never ever admit he was wrong or you were right. Just does not have that quality. DF

Of note is the Coeur/Orion swap comes one business day following the cutoff for voting at the June 23rd AGM. The circular will likely be filed late this week or next. Also of interest is that long time auditors PwC are being replaced by Ernst & Young. I could be wrong but looks to me like PwC thought an impairment charge against Eagle was required but the Board did not agree hence the switch ...more

Realistically I don't see a bidding war if CDE has already sucked up %20.  More likely CDE  offers a share swap at %15-20 premium. Not the payout we were hoping for, but that's my prediction.

Hey brother I hope you are right, but stitching up 18% of the shares makes it difficult for another bidder. Not impossible,  but difficult. CDE has a history of cheap aquisitions, but most were done in less bullish pm markets.. Anything is possible. I own an equal weight of both CDE and VGCX. I would have prefered another suitor because now it's going to be a lot of eggs in on basket ...more

Looks to me that management and the Board will be pushing the exploration and production teams hard over the next six months, they have a lot of skin in the game, shares and options.

Time for a little bit of fireworks over the next few months. Should be extremely interesting to see how the transaction is viewed by current management. Banyan share volume was extremely high today, versus average daily volume, and the crossover share ownership is a factor. I'm sure I'll make a ton of dough.......we should all wait to see whatever our resident prognosticator has to say ...more

Yet again, all in the history logs   March 2020 said was an awesome time to buy, when it hit the $17-$20 ranges last year it was way to high and there were problems and again this Dec Jan I said that $10 /$11 Candian was a NICE time to buy......I have screenshot and pasted the posts. haha.  There I go bashing again right ?   NOPE, simply making very precient calls on the ...more

They just got it a 15% reduction in the share price at the time.Bidding war? now to companies are out, no bidding war...just what McConnel and his buds want.

But OCD says there will be a take out at $25 with tons of bidders?  Could he be wrong?  No way...haha.  What is hilarious at most is that when Orion bought OCD and others were saying how brilliant Orion was and proud to have them take part in VG  but yet when these same supposed huge and ONLY large holder of the stock that was genius to buy but decide to sell they don't ...more
