Who will buy Victoria Gold since Coeurs or Orion are not likely for obvious reasons?
Who will sell thier Victoria Gold shares first, Orion or Coeurs? DF

At this point, why would either one sell when a nice payday of 30-50% up from here is possibly months away?

I da no. Why did Orion sell at $17 when the sp was over 20. Why did Orion sell ar $13.20 when the sp was well over 14. Not guessing in was because they are stupid. So must be some kind of plan in place dontyathink? Orion is a bunch of banker types that do things to make money. Ya got to wonder if they figured this kind of speculation would follow their Victoria Gold trades. In any case I am ...more

For CDE, the piece seems big to me (46% of the capitalization of CDE) while CDE already has significant financing needs for its mines in Rochester and Silvertip. I would tend to believe more in the takeover of Integra Res (8% of the capitalization of CDE which holds 5.57%). Perhaps management is negotiating for the sale of an important asset (Kensington for example or even La Preciosa), then, ...more

CDE can easily do a share swap like they have several times on aquisitions already. They could then use cashflow from Eagle to finance existing builds/expansions. I would hate to see them sell Preciosa as that is 200 million ouncesof silver. My hunch is that Coeurr will sit on the shares until the stock price of CDE is more favorrable.
