The water is a little muddy

Orion gets 5% of Coeur, Coeur gets 18% of Victoria and Orion must support a Coeur bid with their outstanding share votes for a possible takeover if Victoria agrees with the price...if Victoria agrees with the price.

To me, the entire transaction was to kickstart a process whereby (hopefully) multiple bids force Victoria / Orion to realistically understand the value of the company. Victoria has one number and Orion has another number. Coeur is simply the catalyst to discover who's value is closer to the final number.

If Coeur succeeds the value will be closer to Orion's number and probably closer to trailing days averages and accountants conservative outlook of current resource estimates etc

If Victoria's current management succeeds there will be multiple suitors who are willing to pay for futures like:
1. Increased resource estimates based on future drill results
2. discounting the ramp up difficulties encountered
3. price of gold prognostications
4. possible annual production increases
5. Jurisdictional safeguards

and other entrepreneurial futures.

The big question for me is it possible that larger companies put Coeur in play for a takeover. They, by themselves, taking over Victoria is a long shot by any measure.

What we're going to find out is who's right about Victoria's value and that will be determined by bigger players. I'll stick with my current estimate of $30+

I just continue to believe the previous high is a better place to start....but hey I'm just a shareholder hoping for the best and trying to understand when to sell like everyone else. GLTA

Coeur $2.5 b, Victoria $1.2b at $19 per share.....it gets to be a big pill to swallow at every $1 increase. That's setting aside the poisin pill. Coeur share swap just doesn't work in this scenario and they need help to move this forward. let's wait, be patient, and let this play out. I hope John has positive drill results to publish ASAP.

I like your optimisim Zeke, and others. Victoria board has been watching events for a long time. Between the recent official announcements, and mcconnell publically saying they're going to be bought out, you have to figure they've cooked things to feel pretty confident about being in the driver's seat for approving any bid.  If that's the case, for starters, it doesn't go ...more
